During an interview with Kiss FM’s Jeff Mote and Lynda Nyangweso, embattled SONU chairman Paul Ongili, popularly know as Babu Owino was asked where they (university students) get the money they spend on campaigns.

According to Babu, politicians and wealthy businessmen play a colossal role in university’s politics. Some of them apparently sponsor students for their personal interests. When asked to name who sponsors him, the controversial youthful leader, who is eyeing the Embakasi East parliamentary seat said that he has his own businesses and that there are parents who also fund him.
